AIRN County had the settle for only a point at lowly Strathspey Thistle as the home side's ploy of keeping as many men behind the ball as possible reaped dividends, writes Graeme Macleod.
The visitors were in full control throughout the match at Seafield Park but could not fashion enough clear cut opportunities thanks to Strathspey's unambitious, defensive setup.
Robbie Duncanson, Alan Pollock and Archie Macphee had the best of the chances for County in the goalless first half.
Macphee then rattled the crossbar with a thunderous drive from range shortly after the restart.
John Cameron forced a fine, instinctive save from the Stathspey goalkeeper in the dying stages as the Nairn substitute saw his close range effort blocked by the sprawling stopper.
Nairn had the ideal opportunity to claim all three points in the final minute of the 90 when Stuart Leslie was fouled in the penalty are but he screwed the resultant penalty kick past the left hand post.
