FORM team Brora Rangers make the trip to Station Park this weekend looking to cement a place in the last four of the North of Scotland Cup with both teams going into the tie knowing that they are playing to keep their season alive.

County made it through to the last eight of the competition with a comfortable away win at Strathspey Thistle but face a tough task to make it to the final with the competition favourites in this round and potentially the second favourites, Forres Mechanics in the last four, with the Can Cans away at North Caledonian League outfit, Halkirk United.

Brora came within a whisker of reclaiming the Highland League championship with manager Ross Tokely leading his charges on a relentless run of form, which also incorporated a 9-0 demolition of Tain St Duthus in the opening round of this competition. Having fallen short in both the title race and the pursuit to lift the Highland League (Morganti) Cup, the Cattachs will be targeting this trophy as they seek to add more silverware to their roll of honour.

Nairn ended their league programme on a high last weekend with three points and a clean sheet away at Rothes, which was enough to secure 13th spot on the final table ahead of Huntly. They go into this one targeting an upset and will be buoyed by recent performances.

Team news: Gregg Main misses out for Nairn County as the midfielder's season has been ended by the knee injury he sustained at Inverurie a fortnight ago. He received treatment this week and appears to have avoided any ligament damage, so is working towards being fit enough to re-join the squad at the start of pre-season training. Also ruled out for the rest of the campaign regardless of how long County's season goes on is wide man Jamie Mackay, who also has a knee injury. Goalkeeper Dylan Maclean is back in the squad though having missed last Saturday's trip to Rothes while Paul Macleod also returned to training this week.

One to watch: Kyle Macleod. The on-loan Ross County attacker has been a revelation at Dudgeon Park ad taken the Highland League by storm since making a temporary switch from Dingwall to Sutherland. He has bagged a number of goals for Ross Tokely's men as they have stormed back to a mean run of form over the last few weeks with the former Inverness CT defender imposing his own style on the Cattachs. Although they always seemed outsiders to lift the championship from Tokely's arrival, he led them to within two points of glory and Macleod played a major part in that renaissance.
