MATTY Macleod scored one and set one up as Nairn County under-20s scrambled a draw against Ferrybache in Culloden.

It was a performance which dipped below the standards set in the previous two outings and the Inverness Amateur League Division Two outfit led twice, opening the scoring six minutes in.

THERE was plenty for Nairn County manager Ronnie Sharp to be enthusiastic about even though he saw his team edged out by a single goal to nil at Forres Mechanics on the opening day of the 2017/18 Highland League season.

THERE were plenty of positives for Nairn County to take out of today's opening day derby clash at Forres Mechanics as the home side edged an entertaining encounter.

GOALKEEPER Stephen Foster has joined Nairn County on loan from Championship club, Inverness CT.

The 18-year-old stopper featured for the club as a trialist in Saturday's friendly match at New Elgin and the paperwork has now been concluded for his switch to Station Park.
