UNDERSTRENGTH and leg-weary Nairn County saw their Highland League (Morganti) Cup campaign ended by Turriff United at Station Park as two ties in three days proved too much for Ronnie Sharp's side.

Nairn County FC was saddened to learn of the recent passing of former club captain, Fred Milne.

Mr Milne was a star of the team of the 1950s, who finished as runners up in the 1954/56 North Supplementary Cup after they were defeated by Inverness Thistle over two legs.

A DRAMATIC finale and extra time period saw nine-man Nairn County advance to the quarter finals of the Highland League (Morganti) Cup by turning the tables on Deveronvale.
