THE under-20s dumped Alness United 5-2 in their opening North of Scotland League match at the Academy Playing Fields this evening.

With three overage players allowed in the squad under competition rules, Sean Webb, Gregg Main and Ross Naismith from the first team squad played from the start, although Main was red carded with 15 minutes remaining.

NAIRN County won through to the second round of the William Hill Scottish Cup with a 5-1 dismantling of Selkirk at Station Park and it was a victory that manager Les Fridge felt his side thoroughly deserved, writes Graeme Macleod.

AN IMPRESSIVE late cameo from Sam Urquhart helped Nairn County to ease into the second round of the William Hill Scottish Cup, writes Graeme Macleod.

A RELIEVED Les Fridge praised the character shown by his side as they fought back from 3-2 down with eight minutes remaining to defeat Clachnacuddin 4-3 at Station Park, writes Graeme Macleod.
