THERE was no repeat of last season's miraculous comeback at Turriff United as the home side this time held on to a two-goal lead to end Nairn County's six-game unbeaten run, writes Graeme Macleod.

The closest the visitors came in a goalless first half was through a header from Martin MacDonald, which flew over the crossbar by a matter of inches.

TWO goals apiece from the strike pairing of Conor Gethins and Robbie Duncanson eased Nairn County past Deveronvale for the second successive week, writes Graeme Macleod.

Had a fantastic time yesterday at the centenary match. Great turnout, great weather and a superb 4 star performance by our heroes at Station Park.

Thank you to everyone who made yesterday such a memorable day. Steven Bain and myself went round the ground at half time to showcase the centenary baton and this has raised another £300 for the fund.

SEAN Webb's first half strike booked Nairn County a place in round two of the Scottish Cup at the expense of Deveronvale, writes Graeme Macleod.

Nairn County U15s who play as Nairn Stags in Inverness Street League defeated Balloan Athletic 5-0 in yesterday's Division A Cup Final at Inverness Caledonian Stadium.

Nairn were the stronger team in the first half and played some good passing football and boys took their chances well.

Huntly's Club Chairman George Clark presented Nairn County's Director of Football Peter Mackintosh with a beautifully engraved silver quaich to acknowledge Nairn's Centenary year.

The presentation was made after Huntly's home match against Nairn on Saturday 6th September.
