Nairn 17's Bounce Back from Cup Final defeat.

On Saturday (21/9/13) Nairn County Under 17's played Stratton Thistle at Grant Street Park, Inverness.

On a good surface for passing football Nairn started well but went 1-0 behind after half an hour when one of Stratton's players cut in from the right wing and hit a shot which the keeper could only parry into his own net.

New Team Bus

Highland Translink are supplying a new Team Bus to transport Nairn County football team and Committee/Directors to relevant away games.

The bus proudly displays the team name along the huge windscreen for all to see.

The storage area/lockers is huge and easily accommodates the teams strips, towels, etc - i.e.All the paraphernalia needed by a travelling side.

Inside the bus has a toilet, TV, and areas with tables with seating for four around them.

We played Forres today at Mosset Park and lost 7-5. Nairn Scorers were Kai McLaughlin 3, Rory Footitt 1 and Cameron Davidson 1.

Nairn started well and were 1-0 up in 2 mins and missed a few chances to score. Forres were then the better side for a bit when we went 3-1 down.

Ben Nevis Conquered

A team of fearless County Supporters, in the face of adverse weather conditions successfully climbed Ben Nevis on Sunday 1st September.

All of the team were sponsored by individuals and over £4500 was raised to help with ground improvements at Station Park.

Congratulations to all who took part and those who supported the team.

The epic climb was followed by a BBQ and the odd refreshment at Ft. William FC Social Club.

On a pitch reduced in size, close to the minimum, and heavily sanded it was going to be interesting to watch progress.
